I have lived in the great State of Maryland for my entire life. I grew up in Gaithersburg with my parents and younger brother, where I lived until I left for college at the ripe, old age of 19.
First, I set my sites on Frostburg State University, nestled in the mountains of Western Maryland. Feeling the need to scratch and itch for bigger things, I transferred and finished my college education at the University of Maryland at College Park, where I majored in English Literature and Linguistics. While a student at UMD, I was active in many student groups and activities, including Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Upon graduation, I worked with Wheat First Butcher Singer, which is now known as Wachovia Securities. From there, I became the Public Relations Officer for Frank & Associates, PC, a nationally-recognized tax litigation firm, located in Bethesda, MD.
By this time, however, I had met and married the love of my life. He had grown up in Anne Arundel County and longed to return. So, in 1999, we purchased our first home together, in Davidsonville, MD. We lived there until 2002, when we moved to Severna Park, where we intend to stay (if I have anything to say about it!) We now have two children–one boy and one girl–and love the community in which we live.
Anne Arundel County offers a lifestyle that is unique, in the true sense of the word. Our proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and its sparkling coastline provides a nearly limitless array of sporting possibilities, from sailing, swimming and waterskiing, to crabbing, fishing, or simply strolling along the shore. All of this combined with our great neighborhoods and blue-ribbon school systems make it somewhere I don’t ever want to leave. I think you’ll love it, too!
